Use one unbleached cotton tea bag that is tied shut. Tie a bath bag under the faucet so the water will go through the herbs as the bath tub fills with water. Once the bath is full, remove the bag from the facet and float in the water. You can also use the bags like a washcloth. Soak in the bath for 20 minutes or more. Bath teas can also be made by brewing an extra strong tea and pouring directly into the tub.
When you finish with your bath, discard the herbs, rinse the bag out, and hang up to dry. When it is dry, you can reuse it for your next bath. Do not open your tea bags in your bath.
WARNING: If you are under physicians' care for any condition, you should consult your health care provider before taking a salt bath. This includes heart conditions, low or high blood pressure, diabetes, liver, or kidney issues, or you are pregnant.
